Those lift-up tables are genuinely useful when potting: seed trays, compost and tools sit beside you at working height instead of on the ground, and they drop out of the way when you are done. Four wheels, two with brakes, mean you move a full planter between a greenhouse, a conservatory and a patio as the season and the light change — something no fixed bed can do. The fabric liner in the 46 x 94cm planting area holds soil and moisture, so the bed does not dry out as fast as bare timber would, while five drainage holes stop waterlogging.
