To ride an electric bike on UK public roads without registration it must meet the Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) rules, including a motor of no more than 250W and assistance that cuts out at 15.5mph (25km/h). Riders must be 14 or over. Please check the current regulations before riding on public roads.
